Sync information across

When you
sync your apps, extensions, bookmarks, and other information across
Chromebooks, you can access them on any Chromebook you use.

- Chrome browser settings
- Custom wallpapers

Set up sync
How you set
up sync on your Chromebook depends on whether you’re using a personal
Chromebook or a work or school Chromebook and on whether you use extra security
on your Google Account.
- Sign in to your Chromebook
- In the lower right corner of the screen, click your profile picture.
- Select Settings.
- Under the “Users” section, click Advanced sync settings.
- In the "Advanced sync settings" dialog that appears, choose what you want to sync:
- Sync everything: Select Sync everything from the dropdown menu.
- Choose specific items to sync: Select Choose what to sync from the dropdown menu. Check the items you want to sync.
- Click OK.
If you’re using
a Chromebook at work or at school, you may need to have your network
administrator set up sync for you.
- Sign in to your Chromebook.
- Open Chrome browser. In the top right corner, click Sign in.
- Enter your Google Account password.
- When asked to enter an "application-specific password" or an "access code," generate the password on your Authorizing applications and sites page, then paste it into the box.
- Click OK.
Note: Verification codes won’t work to authorize apps
and sites.
- Sign in to your Chromebook.
- Enter your passphrase.

Note: You’ll need to enter the passphrase
on each Chromebook you want to sync. If you’ve forgotten your passphrase, go to Google Dashboard and remove sync
information from your Google Account, then set up sync again.
Turn off sync

Delete sync information from your account
You can
delete your synced information from your Google Account at any time:
