How to lower hardware
acceleration in Windows 7/8
Follow these useful steps to lower the
hardware acceleration in Windows 7 or 8
1. Click
Start, and then click Control Panel.
Note: In Windows 8, Open the Start
window by pressing the Windows button on your keyboard or by moving the mouse
cursor to the top right of the screen and then clicking the Start button.
Search for 'control panel' to locate Control Panel and then click on Control
Panel. (After that, follow instructions as follows)

Select Category in
the View by drop-down menu, and
then click Appearance and Personalization.

Click Display
4.
Click Change display settings.
5.
Click Advanced
settings
6.
Click the Monitor tab.
On the lower left of the window, under Colors, click
True Color (32 bit) drop-down
menu, and then click High Color (16 bit).
7.
Click Apply.
Note: When you
click Apply, the screen will go blank
for a moment.
8.
Once the screen reappears, click Yes within 15 seconds.
9.
Click Advanced
settings
10.
Click the Troubleshoot
tab, and then click Change settings.
11.
Move the slider one or more notches to the left,
and then click OK. Moving
the slider all the way to the left will disable hardware acceleration.
Note: When
you click OK, the screen will go blank
for a moment.
